Solutions

1:1 support

Focused conversations with someone who really gets it can unlock precious insights and solutions.

I work with people who've experienced childhood adversity and early attachment wounds and who may feel stuck or frustrated in their professional lives, or who are simply seeking to deepen their self-understanding so they can supercharge their careers.

What you should expect when working with me:

  • A compassionate and trauma-sensitive exploration of the issues you bring to our conversations

  • Practical information about how attachment styles and trauma influence thinking patterns, emotions, beliefs and behaviours - and what this means for you

  • A pragmatic overview of how HR and employers operate, and how to best navigate the organisational environment you're in

  • Self-regulation and personal effectiveness tools and exercises that you can use in work situations

  • Ideas and strategies for tackling triggering work challenges.

What you shouldn't expect from working with me:

  • Rigid coaching frameworks

  • Pressure to discuss early life experiences in detail - research shows that is unhelpful and unnecessary

  • Mental health advice.

Workshops

I run immersive and interactive sessions with small groups of 6-8 people that are looking for answers to similar questions. Each participant is interviewed beforehand to ensure as a group we are aligned in terms of need, intention and approach. Together we explore the science and the lived experience of the group, we find personalised solutions and practice new skills.

I run workshops with:

- survivors of chronic adversity and early attachment wounds: there are multiple sessions available each tackling a specific area, e.g. career choices, relationships at work, power and politics etc.

- workplace allies such as leaders, HR, mental health champions etc.; these sessions help our friends and supporters in the workplace gain an understanding of trauma and attachment styles and how it all connects with everyday work. At the end of the workshop participants have the confidence and skills to work effectively with survivors of trauma and attachment injuries, and can help build a trauma-sensitive work environment

- external coaches: working with clients who carry a painful personal history can be difficult and stressful. This workshop is designed for career coaches who want to know what to say and do when a client shares a history of abuse, trauma or disrupted early attachment (or when they suspect a difficult past is at play) and how to integrate this reality into their coaching work with confidence and competence.
